Product Operating Procedure
Fill the Kemclean-K-16 tank with 2/3
of water and heat it upto 45degreeC. Add 2.5 kgs. Of Kemclean-K-16
powder in 100 ltr. bath with continuous agitation till the chemical
is completely dissolved. Fill the tank to the operating level and
raise the temperature. Stir the bath well and draw the bah sample for
the determination of bath pointage.
The components should be thoroughly
rinsed with thevover flowing system until unless Kemclan-K-16 is
completely removed.
Product Application Equipment
Kemclean-K-16 tank should be fabricated with 3 - 4 mm thick M.S.
Plates with continuous agitation arrangement and convection current
from a heating unit.
Testing and Control Procedure
Pipette out 5 ml. of the bath solution in to a conical flask. Add 50
ml. of distilled water and add 2- 3 drops of indication methyl orange
Indicator. Titrate against N/10 sulfuric acid till the colour
changes from yellow to red. The burette reading is the pointage. The
pointage of the degreasing should always be maintained at the
recommended level.
Chemical Replenishment
The efficiency of the degreasing
bath falls due to the carry over of oils comings from the work, is
emulsified in the bath solution and presence of the sludge at the
bottom. At this stage Kemclean-K-16 bath should be discarded.
Safety Measures
Kemclean-k-16's contact with skin,
eyes, mouth and clothing should be avoided and proper safety
precautions should be taken by the operators by using gloves, goggles and
safety clothing.
