Product Operating Procedure:
While preparing solutions, add
Kemphos-336 to warm water. In operation maintain pH range between
4.5-5.5 (optimum). Fill the tank ¾ with water at a temp.
of 25-45°c. Add the required amount of Kemphos-336 and bring
the solution to the operating level. Maintain the proper temperature
and start the processing work.
Product Application Equipment's Kemphos-336 tank should be fabricated with 3 to 4 mm thick M.S. with
continuous convection current hating system.
Testing and Control Procedure
The Kemphos-336 bath can be maintained by using automatic pH
control otherwise it can be controlled by titration. Process is as
follows:- Pipette out 10 ml. of the bath solution, add a few drops of
Indicator Phenolphthalein Titrate with N/10 NaOH until pink colour end point is achieved. Note the volume of
N/10 NaOH used.
Chemical Replenishment Restore the bath to the working level by adding water to makeup
evaporation loss and drag out losses. Check the Kemphos-336 pointage.
Safety Measures Direct contact may cause burning of the eyes causing skin irritation, harmful if swallowed and avoid contact with eyes, skin clothing, rubber
gloves, safety goggles and suitable protective clothing when
handling. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not take internally.
Avoid contact or mixing with material containing chlorine.
General Information Corrosion Resistance: Excellent
* Phosphate solution effluents are
permitted in municipal sewage systems merely to neutralise with any
alkaline solution and charge. If phosphates are not permitted, they
may be precipitated out as sludge by adding calcium Hydroxide
solution to a pH of 8. Discharge solution into plant effluent system
and haul away the remaining sludge.
